I now work completely remote at home so I decided to invest in some essentials to keep me comfortable. If you’re in a similar situation or do a lot of work at home, I definitely recommend checking out my essentials below.
WALKING PAD |
I can thank Tik Tok for this purchase. I kept seeing it all of my FYP and had to invest in one. I thought it would be a bit difficult to work and walk at the same time but it really isn’t. The walking pad has significantly helped the back pain I was getting during the day and it makes me feel so accomplished when I meet my goal step count instead of just sitting at my desk for 8 hours. I try to get in at least 3-to-five miles a day and it fits easily under my bed when I’m not using it. I got mine on sale for $279 from Amazon.

DESK RISER |
A desk riser is definitely a necessity with having a walking pad. I’ve seen some people get an entire adjustable desk, but I didn’t want to do that so I opted for just the riser. It’s pretty heavy and durable, the one I got on Amazon for $129. There are multiple colors and sizes to pick from that’ll work for your setup and liking.

AESTHETIC DESK CHAIR |
I had an all-metal chair prior to buying this one on Amazon for $159. I wanted a chair that didn’t have wheels but that was also comfortable and cute. This one fit the bill. It comes in multiple different colors to fit whatever setup you have.

HEATING PAD |
When I am sitting, I do love using a heating pad on my back. It is still pretty cold in Michigan too so not only does it keep me warm, but it helps my back from cramping up too. Amazon has a lot to pick from, but this one is $28.

FOOT REST |
To further prevent the back pain that comes from sitting all day, I bought this foot rest from Amazon for $29 that is made of memory foam and has adjustable heights. It doesn’t slip on the floor and truly helps with my posture and sitting up straight.
