My 8 Top Travel Essentials

So I’ve been living out of my suitcase for the past month now and only 7 more months to go! I’ve learned quite a bit already about what is essential and what’s not, and pulled together a list of my 8 travel essentials. All can be found from Amazon. If you have any recommendations or new products you think I would benefit from having, let me know!

I cannot rave about packing cubes enough. They have been a life saver for my suitcase. It helps me stay organized and you can fit so many clothes in them that you wouldn’t be able to normally.

This pack of 8 is $20.99. You will definitely need two of these if you are using a checked bag, but for just a carry-on, one of these would suffice.

This toiletry bag is amazing. I’ve had to bring full-size products with me so I knew I needed a larger toiletry bag. I found this one on TikTok and the rave is so worth it. It fits so much and folds up so nicely. Plus it has a handle so it’s easy to carry around and you can hang it if you see fit. I don’t personally hang mine because it’s so heavy, but if you’re traveling with smaller items inside, it can definitely be hung.

It comes in a variety of colors and retails for $27.99.

Another amazing gadget to keep you organized is this super chic and slim jewelry organizer. It is super skinny but fits so much and can be stored anywhere. I got their small size but was still able to bring so much jewelry with me.

It also comes in a variety of colors and two sizes. The small can be found for $15.99 and the medium is $19.99.

Some places I’ve been staying at don’t necessarily always have access to a mirror to do my makeup or there are instances where I’m sharing a bathroom and don’t want to wait to have someone leave the mirror, so having a skinny and light full-size mirror is crucial. This one lights up and you just plug it in to re-charge it, but I don’t personally use the light on it.

It’s from Amazon and retails for about $18 on sale.

I didn’t want to have to cart around full size bottles of medication and pills so I bought a smaller pill organizer to bring with me and filled it with Tylenol, ibuprofen, allergy pills, and Benadryl. I will likely have to go to the store again because I’m running low on some things, but I think if you’re traveling for a short amount of time, this is worth while to buy.

On Amazon, this one is $6.97.

Since again, I’m living out of my suitcase and have to pack a lot with me, but can’t exceed 50 lbs, I’ve been having to monitor how much my bag weighs after each chapter visit. This scale you just loop through your bag handle and lift and it will tell you how much your bag weighs. It’s super lightweight, can fit anywhere, and saves you from having to rearrange your luggage at the airport if your bag is overweight.

On Amazon, it’s retails for $11.98.

Honestly, I don’t know what I did before Tide Sticks. These work wonders and are just good to have in general.

For a pack of 3 on Amazon, it’s $7.35.

To save myself from having to pack a whole steamer, I opted for wrinkle release spray and honestly, it has been working just fine. If you’re traveling with the packing cubes I suggested above, your clothes will get wrinkly because they’re being stuffed into the cubes, but if you pack this spray with you, you’ll be just fine to fix the wrinkles.

A two-pack of travel size on Amazon is $7.99.
