Exciting Life Updates

I know some people will likely not care about this, but I wanted to share some life updates! The last couple months have been filled with lots of change and new chapters.

I recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Michigan-Dearborn after 5 years. I learned a lot from my experience at college. If you are going into college or are still in it and need some tips, check out my blog for college advice here. My college chapter was one of my favorite chapters of my life because I grew so much as a person and pushed myself to do things I didn’t think I could do. Because of that growth, I have a new opportunity and chapter I’m venturing out on.

Back in December I applied on a job I had dreamed of having since I joined Phi Mu my freshman year. Chapter Consultants would come visit my chapter every year and I knew this was something I really wanted to pursue. They get the opportunity to travel all around the country to connect with their sisters and help them improve and grow their chapters for the span of two semesters.

The interview process was a bit intense and I didn’t know if I would get the role because it is such a competitive and popular position. Come to my surprise at the beginning of March, I got a call from my new boss that I got the role. Starting in August, I would be traveling around the country to Phi Mu’s different chapters for 36 weeks straight. Considering I have never lived away from home, I knew this would be a huge learning curve and adjustment, but it was time for a change.

I had the opportunity to attend Phi Mu’s convention that happens every two years in a new location. This year it was in Phoenix. I was able to meet my fellow Chapter Consultants and the rest of Phi Mu staff who I’ve only seen over Zoom. It was a long couple of days, but I got to see how business and voting was conducted on the national level. The changes voted on and implemented made me even prouder to be a Phi Mu. I’m excited to help implement these changes throughout the next year as I visit the different chapters.

With this new change, my blogs will likely change and I’m imaging I won’t have much time to write so regularly anymore. Feel free to follow along as my lifestyle changes a bit (as do my blogs) and I embark on this new chapter.
