I love all the fun activities that come with the holiday season and the Metro-Detroit area has so many awesome opportunities to get in the holiday spirit with family and friends. Take a look at the list I pulled together below for some ideas on how to enjoy the season of giving.
HOLIDAY NIGHTS IN GREENFIELD VILLAGE |
Greenfield Village always puts on holiday nights festivities. They decorate the village so festively and make it super interactive. There is delicious food and drinks to try and beautiful lights to admire. General admission starts at $32. Bring any little kiddos in your life and enjoy!

GLENLORE TRAILS AURORA |
This one mile long outdoor path is Michigan’s first original luminated forest. Filled with interactive light displays, stories, and other entertainment, don’t miss this activity this winter. It starts on Black Friday with general admission tickets starting at $25 but there are special rates for children and seniors.

WILD LIGHTS AT THE DETROIT ZOO |
Another local light show can be found at the Detroit Zoo. From now to January 9th on weekends, experience millions of LED lights illuminating trees, buildings, and more than 280 sculptures.

MONROE STREET DRIVE-IN |
Located in the heart of Detroit, the Monroe Street Drive-In is only open during the holiday season. Tickets are $20 per vehicle and go live on Tuesday at noon. They sell out rather quickly so if you’re looking to enjoy a movie with a view, I would advise purchasing tickets sooner rather than later. While you’re down there, be sure to check out the lit-up tree at Campus Martius and all the lights too.
