I’m a sucker for fall time activities. If it could be fall all year long, I would be absolutely thriving. The sweaters, the chill, breezy weather, and the endless pumpkin spice lattes are what keep me going and excited. I compiled a list of 5 fun activities to do in the Metro-Detroit for the season. Check them out below and let me know if you have any other things you think I should partake in the next couple of months.
For those of you not familiar with the Detroit area, Blake’s is a local hard cider brewery (it’s my personal favorite brand). Their main location and production site is in Armada. At this location they have a restaurant, haunted attractions, apple picking, lavender farm, play-area for kids, and tasting area for their ciders. The location is huge and there is so much to do there.

Glenlore trails is an immersive night time walk that has interactive and lit-up art pieces throughout the mile long trail. I went over the summer for their non-Halloween themed trail and it was super cool and unlike anything I’ve gone to before. The trail is located in Commerce and only open from Thursday to Sunday. It’s perfect for families, friends, and significant others and for $25 you can experience this local attraction.
I am personally not a scary movie fan but I think for the spooky season, I can be convinced. The Ford Drive-In in Dearborn has several scary and family-friendly Halloween movies playing right now. Pack some snacks, blankets, and pillows and enjoy.

The Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak is hosting their annual Zoo Boo on the afternoons of Oct. 8-10, 15-17 and 22-24 from 2:00-6:00 PM. You can see your favorite animals, pumpkin displays, and other spooky photo opportunities. Dress up in your Halloween costume and enjoy the fall festivities for $13 a person.
DeBuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch |
What’s fall time without a visit to a corn maze and pumpkin patch? DeBuck’s has a 15 acre corn maze perfect for testing your sense of direction and memory. They also have a pumpkin patch filled with a variety of different pumpkins perfect for your picking pleasure and be sure to bring the kids along as well for their family fun area.

Thanks for sharing these! I lived in White Lake, near Commerce, for many years and didn’t know about Glenore Lakes. The art installation seems so intriguing! I look forward to checking that out
