This year, the holidays are definitely not looking the same and we’re more limited in our choices of activities. However, I still made up a list and was determined to check some things off of it. Here’s all what I did this 2020!

Decorate the Christmas Tree: This year, I helped decorate my aunt and uncle’s Christmas tree with my new baby cousin and we also decorated the tree at my house!
Eat in an Igloo: Because of COVID, igloos are even more prevalent this year. My friend Shelby and I visited one in downtown Detroit. We got drinks and appetizers at Bobcat Bonnies.
Visit Downtown: Downtown Detroit still decorated for Christmas this year which I was grateful for for sure. I went down once with my friend Shelby and then went again with my sorority littles, Mariah and Brianna.
Make Ornaments: We didn’t get very far with decorating our ornaments because we got preoccupied hanging with each other, but my friend Waad and I attempted to paint some.
Decorate Gingerbread Houses: My brother was able to come home for a couple days during the holidays so we took advantage and decorated some gingerbread houses.
Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village: There is an outside park/museum type thing near where I live and they decorate it for the holiday season. My aunt, uncle, cousins and I all visited and explored the area (in the cold too lol).
I hope you all had a great holiday season and were able to make the best of this year. Hopefully by the holiday season of 2021, we will be able to do and enjoy more things.
