Day Trip to Saugatuck, Michigan

Last week, my best friend and I took a day trip to Saugatuck, Michigan and I thought I’d share with you all what we did and my recommendations. Saugatuck is on the west side of Michigan, near Holland and Grand Haven. It’s definitely worth the trip to check out this cute, eclectic town.

Grab a coffee at Uncommon Coffee Roasters: This home-y, pride friendly coffee shop is located downtown and right by the water. I got a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla and it was exquisite.

Grab a sandwich at the Boardwalk Deli: Right near the coffee shop is a cute little sandwich shop and deli. I got their Milano sandwich and it was delicious. I wish Saugatuck was closer to me so I could get lunch there frequently.

Saugatuck Dunes State Park: Probably what Saugatuck is most popular for is the state park. It most definitely lived up to the hype. There is a small, easy hike to Lake Michigan and the sand dunes but it is definitely do-able and worth it. We ate our sandwiches by the water, with the view.

Grab a smoothie at Tree of Life Juice: We were still pretty full from lunch but were heading back home so we decided to get a smoothie to-go for the ride back. I got the green goddess smoothie and it was a delicious snack to hold me over. The inside of the shop is super cute too!

Walk on the Yacht Boardwalk: For some cute Insta pics, take a walk along the boardwalk and admire the yachts and water.

I’m trying to make the best out of what’s left of the summer so you may be seeing more travel content in the upcoming weeks. Please let me know if you have any questions!

XOXO, Tayler
