A Foodie’s Guide to Charleston

Of course when you’re visiting a new place, you have to check out the local restaurants. I took full advantage of the delicious Charleston food while on vacation and thought I’d share some of my favorites!

Black Magic Cafe: I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is by far the cutest decorated restaurant I’ve ever been to and the food was bomb too. My mom and I both got one of their chicken sandwiches.

RuRu’s Tacos & Tequila Charleston: This cute Mexican restaurant is located near the infamous Rainbow Row in downtown Charleston. I got a chicken and rice bowl and it was so super good.

Cantina 76 – Mount Pleasant: Another Mexican restaurant worth visiting, the tacos here are a little unconventional but work perfectly. Their BBQ shrimp taco I give 5 stars and definitely recommend trying.

Poe’s Tavern: This themed restaurant is dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe. We didn’t get to see the inside because it’s close currently due to COVID but the food stacked up against its reputation. We got the fish tacos.

Peace Pie: This cute little ice cream shop serves ice cream sandwiches with pie/custard filling in the middle and oh my gosh was it ever good. I got their mint chocolate chip sandwich and I highly recommend. They have a bunch of flavors to pick from.

We didn’t eat out too much, but everywhere that we ate at was freaking delicious. Charleston’s food gets a 5-star rating from me. Leave any questions you may have below!
