I love dressing up in general and in particular, for work. Whenever I dress nice, I feel nice and it makes me feel like I can be productive. My work is pretty casual so most days I wear jeans but other days I wear dresses and/or nicer pants. So, here’s what I’ve been wearing to work lately.

Purple Wrap Top
Wrap tops are SUPER flattering on all body types because they hug you in all the right places. This one in particular is light and airy and I love the color, especially with my dark hair. I think the lilac compliments it perfectly. I pair these with my high waisted, ankle length flare jeans and some casual sandals to pull it all together.
Tan Tiered Baby Doll Dress
Flowy dresses are a MUST in the summertime, especially with how hot it has been in Detroit lately. This one is so airy and light (seeing a trend lol?) and I also love the color of it. I think this will also be a good transition piece come fall time, paired with some booties. For now, however, paired with some sandals, it’s a staple in my wardrobe this summer.
Yellow Polka-Dot Wrap Top
Another wrap-type top, this one also pairs great with jeans and sandals. When I’m not working, I wear them with ripped jeans but when I am, I just wear non-ripped skinny jeans. This shirt comes in many other colors from Old Navy but I gravitated towards the yellow one.
Button-Up, Classic Work Outfit
This is THE classic business casual work outfit. I don’t wear this type of outfit all that often but this particular day we were taking head shots for my company’s social medias so I decided to look a little more presentable. I figured, though, for those of you who have to stick to business casual this could give you some inspiration.
Black Dressed Up Capris
These pants I probably wear the most. Sometimes I just don’t want to wear jeans and sometimes I don’t want to wear a dress so this is my happy medium. They can be dressed up or down with a different pair shoes or a different top. The picture below is my more casual way of styling these pants. That shirt is one I thrifted from the men’s section a while back. If I were to want to style them up I would probably wear a blouse and some flats.
