I’ve really been trying to be more present lately hence the title of this blog post lol. I have always heard people talking about how important it is to be present and not go on your phone, etc., etc. I just always thought like ‘yeah okay I get it.’ Don’t go on your phone when you’re around your family or friends. I know that’s super important because you should be in the moment and savoring every moment you have on this earth but sometimes it’s just really hard to break a habit. I’m tired of giving myself excuses though. With my internship this summer comes staring at a computer screen just about all day so the last thing I’ve been wanting to do lately is stare at my phone at the end of the day when I’m done working. This fact has definitely helped in being more present for sure.
When I say that I’m enjoying life so much more now, I truly mean it. Just by not checking my social medias as much, I’m able to live in the moment and not get wrapped up in the social media comparison game as much as I was before this summer. Getting that internship has honestly been one of the best things that has happened to me. I look forward to going to work, I’m learning so much about the advertising business and myself and it has helped me become more present. A blog post on that will be coming soon though so stay tuned for that. Basically what I’m saying is if you even try to limit your phone usage by an hour a day, I guarantee you will notice a difference in your mood and your outlook on life.
