5 Habits I’m Going to Start Doing Regularly

I got inspiration for this idea for a blog post from Danielle Carolan. She posted on her website, “Habits I am Going to Start Infusing in my Everyday Routine” and I loved this idea. This way it will give you guys some inspiration and it will hold me accountable to make these daily habits. Danielle’s habits are to: “dry brush, look at yearly goals each morning, work out 4 times a week, stretch and selectively socialize.” Her’s are pretty well rounded and my daily habits are along the same line.

Work Out Two Times During the Week and Once During the Weekend: 

I have a bad habit with working out during the week just because school and work exhaust me so I would like to make it a habit to go to the gym at least two times during the week. The weekend I never work out which I would like to change because I have a little more time than during the week so there is really no excuse for me to not. During the Summer I was really good with going to the gym three times during the week because my schedule was strict and I knew what to expect. During the school year, though, my schedule is chaotic and hard to hold myself accountable. Overall, I just want to be more active.

Be in Bed by 11:30 At Least 5 Times a Week:

I have been staying out so late recently and not been going to bed until like 1:00 am. Because of this I have noticed how exhausted I have been lately and I think this might be why I am starting to gain weight, along with other unhealthy habits. I am happy with my body and weight but I still want to be healthy and treat my body right so getting more sleep is a step in the right decision. Even if I did not stay out late and am just laying at home I still don’t go up to my room until late.

Look at my Vision Board Every Day: 

I made a vision board after the first of the year for my goals for practically the rest of my life haha and haven’t looked at it in a while so I want to look at it daily to remind me of why I do what I do day-to-day. I want to remind myself why I’m in school, why I have a blog and why I am applying for jobs, etc.

Limit my Going Out to Eat to Two Times a Week:

I am literally so bad at spending my money on food. Not only am I wasting money on eating out so often, but I’m also not being the healthiest. I have been eating out about 7 times a week and that adds up really quickly so I have given myself a limit of two times instead. This even includes getting a smoothie from my fav place EVER: Tropical Smoothie. Starbucks is included also.

Use a Face Mask At Least Once a Week:

I used to wear face masks all the time but recently I haven’t been using them as much just because I forget or don’t feel like I have time. I think this is why my skin has been breaking out so bad lately and I just need to find the time to do them. Taking 15 minutes once a week for some self care is completely do-able. This time I can use to relax too which I haven’t had much time to do lately either.

  1. I’m with you you on going to bed earlier! I’ve been waking up early every morning no matter how late I go to bed so getting to bed earlier will help. Actually that andcdrinking lots of water help your complexion too. Keeping a log of what you eat helps you be accountable too. You have very good ideas here, even for a grandma!! Love you, my dear!🥰🥰❤❤
