Dear Personal Trainers/Coaches

Dear Personal Trainers/Coaches:

I know you probably don’t have the intention of being cruel or rude when you say certain things but unfortunately they come across this way. I’m not at the gym to get a ‘summer body’ or ‘lose weight’ or ‘tone.’ I am at the gym to live a healthier lifestyle and get energy and frustrations out. I love my body the way it is now and don’t need or want a ‘summer body.’ In fact what does ‘summer body’ even mean? The body I have right now is a ‘summer body’ or ‘bikini body.’ You want to know how I know? Because if I were to put a bikini or bathing suit on right now, I would have a ‘bikini body.’ You do not know my body or what I do day-to-day nor know why I go to the gym so how about you tell me what exercises to do and I will do them to the best of my ability.

Also, I punch like a girl and run like a girl because I AM A GIRL! Oh, and if you hit harder and ran faster you would hit and run like a girl too so thank you, I take that as a compliment. I know you mean that as an insult and are trying to be snarky or funny but you’re only making yourself look ignorant. So, to all the personal trainers or coaches or people in the fitness field please just remember that everyone is on their own journey and have their own reasons for going to the gym so just keep your comments to yourself and just be a positive and inspirational trainer.

XOXO, Tayler

  1. You tell it like it is! Shouldn’t trainers’ or fitness couches’ purpose be to encourage their clients instead of trying to to make them feel bad about themselves? You’re there to become the best you you can be. Idiots!! Love you!๐Ÿ’•โค๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
